Category: book Nook
Hello all,
I'm looking for a web sight where I can download audio books?
Any and all suggestions would help.
thanks
www.audible.com has a huge selection of commercial audio books and though you have to pay for them, it's not all that expensive. If you're a member of the National Library Service you can also go to www.nlsbard.loc.gov and download their talking books. These can be played on several devices including the VR Stream, the Plextalk Pocket and the BookSense. www.podiobooks.com offers free serialized books by new or up-and-coming authors which you can subscribe to as apodcast. And if you check Google I'm sure there are several sites out there with public domain audio books. Happy reading.
I miss my audible membership so much. Too harsh on the money though, especially with the amount i read, definitely worth it though if you have the money and love to read.
what about a torrent sight?
I think tear drop, that perhaps you need to go and have a read of the terms of service.
Dan.
Please excuse me, but I think I've missed something here?
My sincere appologies if I've even remotely done anything to suggest that I need have a read of the tos.
cordially
I think the problem here is that you're basically asking about engaging in piracy. That's what Harp meant I'm sure.
awe, yes, well, I'll do my best to steer clear of the like.
She never asked for books that weren't in the public domain. As far as I'm concerned she's just looking for a torrent site to download freely available audio books with a copyright lisence that allows that downloading.
Yes but the wording of her message seemed kinda vague. You really have to be careful with things like that since even if you're not intending to do anything illegal if you're not careful how you word your question you can get into trouble.
http://librivox.org/
has free downloadable audio books read chapter by chapter by volunteers.
